"Initially, my intention was to move from figuration toward abstraction. I began by zooming in on the shirt worn by the painter in Vermeer’s The Art of Painting. This sparked a long-term variation—an exploration of color nuances within a limited palette, and the subtle atmospheres and moods that emerge from it."
